Your light is your lifeline
One flashlight against a dead ship. The beam shows you the deck, and shows the deck where you are. It flickers. Sometimes it dies, and you have to beat it back to life.
The hive hunts by sound
Footsteps, gunshots, a door slammed too hard: every noise is a clue they follow. Creep, hide in lockers, slip into the steam, or throw a flare and run the other way.
The infection spreads
The dead do not stay dead. Corpses feed the hive, pupae swell and burst, spores choke the air, and the deck gets worse the longer you stay.
Every deck is different
Procedural decks across thirteen themes, each with its own event: lights failing, reactors venting, a specimen loose. Scavenge, craft at the workbench, and push one deck deeper.

How it's built
Custom WebGL2 engine
No game framework: a TypeScript renderer with real-time 2D lighting, light polygons, shadows and an emissive pass.
Deterministic simulation
A fixed 60 Hz sim on seeded random streams. The same seed is the same deck, which makes bugs reproducible and keeps co-op in reach.
A hive with a brain
Aliens share what they hear and see; alertness rises from passive to searching to hunting, packs form, and doors get broken down.
Painted art pipeline
Art direction written as prompts, then ingested by a pipeline that cuts, fits, outlines and packs every sheet into one atlas. Armour looks are composited, not repainted.
Static and client-side: the whole game is one small script plus its art, served from Cloudflare. Saves stay in your browser. Online co-op is planned on the same Cloudflare setup as Child of Anon's VS mode.
Work in progress
This is an alpha.
Expect rough edges, missing sounds and balance that changes week to week. Feedback is very welcome.
